\nThe Ortogonale 1, along the divide between the two valleys, started in Campogrosso and cut through the Xon, the Zovo and the Priabona passes, then continued along the crest line towards Mt. Pulgo, Torreselle and Monteviale.<\/p>\n
The Ortogonale 2 started from Campobrun, crossed the Lora Pass, went on along the crest line until Mt. Falcone, then descended all the way to Mt. Spitz di Recoaro and Cima Bocchese. From there, it went down to the Agno river, up along Mt. Sentinello, and continued all the way up to the top of Mt. Civillina. Finally, it headed east and reached Mt. Cengio, descended to the Leogra valley, and then went up again until the St. Caterina Pass, where it joined the defensive lines on Mt. Novegno.<\/p>\n
These two main lines crossed in Mt. Civillina forming a large X, and encompassed multiple defensive compartments \u201cresponding equally well to all possible strategic hypotheses, including the most catastrophic and unlikely ones, such as the collapse of the Pasubio Novegno barrier\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Civillina (951 mt. AMSL) and Cengio (840 mt. AMSL) strongholds protected each other and controlled the Manfron Pass, which featured important works in reinforced concrete.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
